Solaris on kelluntatankissa tapahtuva, mielen sisäinen esitys, joka yhdistää immersiivistä, kokemuksellista ja tajunnallista esitystaidetta, sekä äänitaidetta ja draamallista kuunnelma-formaattia. Avaruudellinen kokemus syntyy mielikuvissa ja suolavedessä kellumisen painottomuudessa.

Esitys perustuu puolalaisen kirjailijan, Stanislaw Lemin, sci-fi romaaniin vuodelta 1961. Se kertoo matkasta Solaris-planeetalle, joka on kokonaan valtamerimäisen superorganismin peittämä - sekä siitä mitä tapahtuu kun ihminen ja superorganismi alkavat kommunikoida.
Miten voit kohdata toisen tietoisen olennon, jonka tietoisuutta ei voi palauttaa inhimillisiin määreisiin?
